Free Email addresses are not accepted.
Internet Downloaded Software File and Key Orders

All orders placed for internet downloaded Software Files and Keys must be accompanied by an email message confirming your email address.
We don't wish to be abused for asking you to send us an email message. If you have any doubts, or don't wish to order because you feel sending an email with a valid email address is some sort of violation of personal liberties then please, don't order.
This is done for the protection of the customer, the product, the Software Author, and Dontronics.

Why do we ask that you send an email to confirm your web-downloaded software order?
As email addresses are hand-typed into our order form, it's surprising how often people mis-type their own email address.
We are unable to forward on web-downloaded software details without a correct email address. If you don't receive an automated confirmation email from Dontronics within minutes of placing your order, then please contact us as we may just have your email address recorded incorrectly, and are unable to complete your order.
By replying to our automated email, we know we have your address recorded correctly.
If we need to query or verify your order for any reason, and you don't respond in a reasonable time from the email address you have provided, the order will be cancelled. We do not wish to hold onto funds indefinitely, waiting for a reply to our queries.
If you have any concerns, please send us an email to confirm your contact address as this may help reduce delays.

Problems with an "Free" Email Address
100% of the attempts made to steal goods from us come from people using a free email service in conjunction with a Credit Card payment.
Free email contact addresses are accepted as long as the order is not paid for by Credit Card. For methods of payment accepted other than Credit Card, please see: http://www.dontronics.com/ord.html#alt
If you wish to pay for your order by Credit Card and use an email contact such as johndoe@hotmail.com, joebloggs@usa.net, etc. then we will require an email address from a paid internet service provider. If you have ordered from us before, an email alias is fine but you would need to remind us of any previous purchase so we can verify details.
If you are unable to give an alternative email address, an exchange of messages is required to enable us to establish your identity and method of web access. If this is a news group message, a home page or any other mention of your email address, this should be fine but just giving an alias email address isn't going to set a software file or key order transaction in motion.

Browser Email "Reply To:" Address is Incorrect, or not Configured
An incorrect email address in an email "Reply To" address is usually done by newbies. To test this, send yourself a message, then reply to it by clicking on the "Reply to Sender" button. Is it your address? Will it get to you? It may well be the address of the person that gave you the copy of the browser.

Please help us to help you.
We don't think what we are asking is unreasonable - an email confirmation from you for all software file and key orders,
and an email contact from a paid service provider for all orders paid for by Credit Card.

How long after ordering before I receive my key?
This can vary depending on which software you have ordered and where you are located in the world. We prefer to advise that most software registration keys will be received between 6 - 20 hours of your order being processed.
Dontronics does not have access to the registration keys for CodeVision AVR and P16Pro software, although we will forward on the download details and then it's a matter of waiting for the Software Author to generate the key and forward it on to you. Both Authors of the CodeVision AVR and P16Pro software are located in Europe, so there may be a few hours delay between receiving our email containing the license registration information, and receiving the second email from the Author.
Dontronics does have Registration Keys to BASCOM AVR and BASCOM 8051 software so as soon as we process your order, download details will be emailed back to you and the Registration Key will be attached to this email as a DLL file.
We can also generate the key for Wickenhaeuser 8051 software, GenerExe's XPad, Basic18 and FED Software.

I've lost my software registration key. Can you issue me another key?
Software registration keys can be lost due to a number of reasons. As a Dontronics service, we offer to help find your key but there is no guarantee. When you purchase from us, we advise that you save your Dontronics Registration Number and key (if applicable) to a CD or floppy.
If the Registration Key is issued to you by the Software Author, then you will have to contact him directly as we don't have access to these details. Please see: How long after ordering before I receive my key? for information on specific Software Key delivery.
If the Software Key was issued to you by Dontronics then we should be able to locate your original order and registration number quickly if you are able to provide us with a few helpful details. These include your name or the company name that the order was originally placed in, an approximate date of the order, your Dontronics Registration Number, and any email exchanges we may have made.
Forwarding this information on to us with your request to re-issue your key will assist us greatly in quickly tracking down your original order, and sending the details onto you.

Can I purchase a CD for the web-downloaded software you offer?
Unless advertised as selling as a CD, we do not provide copies of our web-downloaded software on CD for purchase.
Selling software by web-download ensures that the latest version is always available and it helps keep our prices to a minimum as we will not have outdated or obsolete software sitting on shelves on CD. This also by-passes any potential problems with sending goods through Customs which is always a good thing!
