Microbric is an electronic construction set based upon the construction style/concept of both Lego® and Meccano®, but it is far from just a toy. Microbric allows users to build complex customised electronic devices with little or no prior electronics knowledge. The system is completely solderless and like nothing that has ever come before it. The patented electronic connection system not only makes the necessary electrical connections, but also holds the assembly together in a robust manner. 

Microbric modules will be supplied pre-assembled and tested and will require no soldering. In fact quite complex microcontroller based systems can be assembled using nothing more than a small Philips screwdriver.

Microbric is a modular system based around microcontrollers and each module serves a different function. 

At the centre of all Microbric constructions is a motherboard containing a programmable microcontroller. The microcontroller is programmed using a simple language called BASIC, which can be learned in a relatively short amount of time.

Connected to the motherboard are peripheral modules. These modules are what generally interface the motherboard with the outside world. These modules come in a variety of different shapes and sizes and perform a range of functions. 

Some typical modules are:

- DC Motor Controller Module
- Relay Module
- Button Module
- Temperature Sensor Module
- Power supply Module
- Wireless Communication Modules 

By selecting the appropriate modules for your application you can then built and program your electronic device, controller or robot.
