November 2007. A mixture of ex-ATL and TAB technical staff. Christmas BBQ.

This event was organised by Peter Crozier, who is currently in charge of TABcorp on course technical staff. He invited all of the previous ATL and TAB boys. For me, it was an opportunity to catch up with some people, I hadn't seen for 8 years. Took place at Albert Park, near the Formula One Grand Prix Track. Very much appreciated Peter.

I have listed the names by surname, original tote company, current status.

Standing left to right:
Viv Fernandez (TAB,TAB), Don McKenzie (ATL,Business), Mick Gulovsen (ATL,TAB) Harry Lane (ATL,Retired), Kevin Johnston (ATL,TAB), Peter Collier (ATL,Retired), Graeme Twycross (ATL,Consultant),  Brandt Campbell (TAB,Business), Peter Nelson (ATL,Semi-Retired), Mark Dyball (ATL,Business), Ian Dykes (ATL,Working),  Ken Caygill (TAB,Semi-Retired)

Kneeling Left to right:
Peter Crozier (TAB,TAB), Trevor Perkins (Control Systems,TAB), Geoff Pearson (TAB,TAB)

Notes:
Viv started with the TAB just after the time ATL had vanished, however as he was thrown in with the old ATL team, he was basically considered part of ATL by all and sundry.
Trevor worked for ATL's opposition "Control Systems", but moved across to the TAB at the same time as the ATL staff was moved.
Trevor and Mick went to school together, but hadn't met up again until the joining of the three groups into one.
I was a few months out of open-heart surgery, so I was rugged up, propped into position, told to shut up, and smile.

27-February-2011. Christmas BBQ. (Running a little late)

This event was again organised by Peter Crozier, who is in charge of TABcorp on course technical staff. Peter invited all those Technical staff and families that worked for ATL, Control systems, TAB or Tabcorp Oncourse, to get together and share another beer and hopefully a few new stories. It was held at Peter Crozier's house in Casey. (Pakenham-Berwick?)

I have listed the names by surname, original tote company, current status.

Left to right:
Harry Lane (ATL,Retired), Mick Gulovsen (ATL,TAB), Ian Dykes (ATL,Working), Don McKenzie (ATL,Business),  Peter Collier (ATL,Retired), Graeme Twycross (ATL, TAB Consultant),  Peter Crozier (TAB,TAB).

I jokingly called this gathering Cro & ATL friends, as everyone but Peter Crozier actually worked for ATL.
Thanks again Cro. A bloody good time.

With three of the group pictured below closing in on 68 at a rapid speed of knots, I calculated the average age to be around 60.

21-April-2013. Christmas BBQ. (If it gets any later, it will be on time for Christmas)

This event was again organised by Peter Crozier, who is in charge of TABcorp on course technical staff.

I have listed the names by surname, original tote company, and current status.

Left to right:
Mick Gulovsen (ATL,TAB), Ken Caygill (TAB,Semi-Retired), Ian Dykes (ATL,Working), Don McKenzie (ATL,Business),  Peter Collier (ATL,Retired),  Trevor Perkins (Control Systems,TAB), Peter Crozier (TAB,TAB), Harry Lane (ATL,Retired), Graeme Twycross (ATL, TAB Consultant).

Kneeling Left to right: Mark Dyball (ATL,Business), Geoff Pearson (TAB,TAB)

Three of the group pictured below are now closing in on their 70th birthdays, so the average age should have raised up a little from last time, but then, a few more of the younger ones attended.

I would have loved to have spent a little more time speaking with everyone, as many old and new stories fell out of the woodwork. Focus this year seemed to be on super, retirement, health, and travels. I wonder why.  :-)

A very special thank you to Peter & Kerryn.
