Pick-Axe Definition: A Tool for breaking new ground.
All of these grouped items are covered on other pages. This is just a different point of view. It can be compared almost directly to the MicroMint PicStic^TM Product. This group of components has been put together to simplify the component needs and concept of using the PicBasic Compiler in conjunction with my Cheap Programmer and SimmStick target boards. The net result is a device that runs programs written for the original Basic Stamp 1 on a PIC16F84 or PIC16C84. You may order any individual item or all items if you wish.

Not all components are listed as I don't chase the minor items required, but I make sure that
everything that may be awkward to obtain is available from me. These items are listed in logical groups: So they don't include down to the last resistor and capacitor, only the items listed.

DT001 Programming Board. $35

DT111 Board $11 (Suits many projects) SimmStick Compatible.
DT111-K: The above DT111 Board plus PIC16F84 , 4 Mhz Crystal to suit , and a pair of dual row 30 pin Simm Sockets to match the DT001 board. DT111-K: $25 AUD.

The Microprocessor is a PIC16F84/04/P EEPROM 4Mhz version in an 18 pin DIP package. Add $2 for the 10Mhz version. Crystal price for 4 or 10 Mhz is the same.

Compilers:
The PicBasic Compiler takes programs written for the BASIC Stamp 1 and converts them into PIC compatible hex or binary files. These files can be programmed directly into a PIC16F84 microcontroller eliminating the need for a BASIC Stamp module.

CCS PCM "C" Compiler is the cost effective alternative for C programmers using the F84 micro.

HI-TECH PICmicro "C" Compiler is the ultimate Professional package for PICmicros.
