USB Phone Verses
PhoneConnector. Which is better?
All of the pros and cons we can think of
regarding these two devices.
Introduction:
A USB phone is easy for
new users. Not a lot to learn. Can be readily shipped to interstate or
overseas contacts or relations. PhoneConnector will require an additional
phone immediately to allow it to work, as well as installation of additional
PhoneConnector software.
Price:
The basic price can be very
similar depending on the postage costs to the country you live in, however
you will be up for the cost of an additional phone and accessories for
the PhoneConnector method.
Installation:
Both easy from a hardware
point of view.
Additional software installation
and setup for the PhoneConnector may make it awkward for overseas contacts,
if they aren't familiar with VoIP.
Portability:
USB phone is ideal for Notebooks.
Just throw it in when you are traveling.
PhoneConnector will require
you to carry an additional phone and possibly power supply, as well as
the PhoneConnector unit and cables.
Ease of Use:
USB phone means you must
be within a few meters of your PC.
PhoneConnector allows you
to use any phone, which means hands free, speaker phone, cordless etc.,
so you only need to be in close proximity of your PC to use it.
All feed back welcome.
